     针对全球30多亿人家用固体燃料致健康危害的难题,他带领团队对51万多居民(迄今样本量世界最大)进行了9.8年随访研究,首次揭示家用固体燃料烹饪、取暖产生的室内空气污染,分别导致每10万居民每年增加338、392人的死亡,是居民过早死亡的重要病因;揭示改用清洁能源是减少居民死亡的关键对策;有效通风可减少使用固体燃料和清洁能源烹饪者的死亡风险,估计每年减少中国30万人的过早死亡,是经济有效可行的预防措施,改变了中国乃至世界的预防对策。
